LUNAR-NT for Windows - Screen Manager
LUNAR-NT has been produced to enable you to enlarge the screen of a Microsoft
Windows application up to eight times, its normal size. LUNAR-NT incorporates
the following features:
* Choice of Magnification
1x, 2x, 4x, 6x, and 8x magnification, selectable from hot keys.
* Automatic Following of the Mouse Pointer
LUNAR-NT can automatically follow the mouse pointer, with selectable scroll
margins and scroll speeds.
* Automatic Following of Menus and Dialog Boxes
LUNAR-NT can automatically follow all windows, Dialog boxes, controls within
Dialog boxes, pop-up and pull-down menus. It can also optionally centre on
the LUNAR-NT screen any menu or Dialog box that appears. This automatic
tracking feature draws your attention immediately to any menu or Dialog box
that appears.
* Automatic Following of Text Entry Cursors
LUNAR-NT can automatically follow the text entry cursors, such as those found
in Word for Windows, Notepad, and Write.
* Automatic Following of the Keyboard Focus
LUNAR-NT can automatically move the mouse pointer (and therefore the display)
to the current keyboard focus, selectable with a hot key.
* Overview facility
LUNAR-NT has an overview facility, so that you can see where you are on the
'real' screen and view the layout. (Selectable with a hot key.)
* Help facility
LUNAR-NT has a context-sensitive on-line help facility.
* User-definable hot keys
All hot keys are user-definable, to avoid key clashes with other Windows
applications.
* User-definable Mouse Pointer colour
You can change the mouse pointer to a colour of your choice, independent of the
application running.
* If you run a DOS application in a Window, LUNAR-NT will follow the
applications DOS cursor!
* Automatic Application Configuration
All these features allow you to tailor LUNAR-NT for efficient and
'intelligent' presentation of information. Once such customisation has been
created for a particular application, these settings can be saved and reloaded
automatically every time that application is started. This is a powerful
feature of LUNAR-NT, because you can go on to create configuration files for
all your Windows applications, and have them automatically load when you
start your Windows application!

Overview
Clicking the middle mouse button gives you an Overview of the 'real' screen, so
that you can see where you are on the 'real' screen and view ist layout.
Any mouse click or key press takes you out of Overview mode.
Pointer Colour
This cycles the mouse pointer through a range of 9 colours.
Stay in Window
If this is selected LUNAR-NT places a restriction on the mouse pointer, so the
display does not move away from the current window/dialog box.
Centring
If this is selected, then objects such as menus and small dialog boxes will be
centred on the display (if they will fit).
Screen to Mouse
If Screen to Mouse is selected, the magnified display window will jump to
the position of the mouse pointer.
Mouse to Screen
If Mouse to Screen is selected, then if the mouse pointer is not visible,
the pointer is repositioned in the centre of the display.
Mouse to current option
If this is selected, then the mouse pointer will be moved automatically to the
current focus, when you change the current focus from the keyboard.
Menu Margin
This affects how much of the menu (how many options) are displayed above and
below the currently selected option.
Follow Everything
This enables LUNAR-NT to follow most drawing operations.
Follow Cursors
This follows any text entry cursor.
Follow Objects
This will follow highlighted text, such as the text under icons, or the file
selection highlight in File Manager. In some programs you will not want this
on, as it may clash with Follow Cursors.
Changing LUNAR-NT's Hot Keys
Clicking on the Set Hot Keys button brings up a dialog box in which you can
change LUNAR-NT's default hot keys.
Frames
LUNAR-NT has four scroll margins at the top, bottom, left and right hand side
of the screen. These four margins are collectively known as a frame. LUNAR-NT
has two types of frame: A Mouse Frame and Cursor Frame. As soon as the
mouse pointer or text entry cursor is moved into one a scroll margin LUNAR-NT
will attempt to scroll the screen in the appropriate direction. You can
change the width of each of the scroll margins by clicking on the Mouse Frame
or the Cursor Frame buttons.
Horizontal & Vertical Move
You can change the horizontal and vertical speed that LUNAR-NT scrolls by
when it enters a scroll margin.
